What I stand for:
- A strong vision for the future and a Council that focuses on long-term strategies and ensures effective policies are in place. This provides the Administration with clear direction for desired outcomes of Council and the residents.
- No large-scale, high-intensity industrial operations in country residential or environmentally sensitive areas. I support responsible development to balance economic growth while maintaining our quality of life in rural / agriculture areas. These developments need to be in appropriately zoned areas.
- I believe landowners have the right to bring forward responsible development plans so that the County can make the decision on what is best for Rocky View County, and not the City of Calgary / Calgary Metropolitan Region Board (CMRB). We don't need the City of Calgary deciding on what is best for Rocky View County !
- Review options to reduce rural crime. This continues to be an issue for many of us. What can we do to improve the current situation?
- Developing essential recreational facilities and park areas to help build stronger communities. I will work with our communities, administration and other stakeholders to encourage the creation of appropriate amenities.
- I will ensure Council and Administration manages your tax dollars effectively to help control future tax increases.
